Practice server Practice

4.1 What is on

The practice server is always in practice, with cheats on, so nobody has to switch anything on. Join it from the Practice page in the app.

• Grenade trajectories and impacts, infinite ammo and grenades, full money and buy anywhere.
• The round and the map never run out of time, bots stand still, and holding jump bunny hops.
• noclip and sv_rethrow_last_grenade work here. Put them on keys from Key binds.

4.2 The map list

The map list has the competitive pool, the Wingman maps (with both sites open on a big one) and everything else, Workshop maps included. The Practice page in the app shows the map it is on now. Want another one? Ask somebody on the staff.

4.3 AWP mode

On the awp_ maps: AWP and knife only, and bunny-hop rounds. !rtv asks for a vote on the next AWP map.

4.4 1v1 Arena

On the am_ maps everybody is paired into an arena of their own each round. Win and you move up an arena, lose and you move down - rifle, pistol and AWP rounds.

4.5 Changing the mode

!mode on the practice server votes between Practice, AWP mode and the Arena. The mode follows the map, so a switch is a map change.

4.6 Rush smoke

A smoke on this server is Rush's own, made to play like CS2's.

• It fills the space it lands in: round corners and up to walls, never through them. In an alley it stays short.
• It is thick: nobody sees through it. Only your teammates' names show when you aim at someone, so an enemy's name never gives them away through it.
• A bullet cuts a small round hole along its path, and the smoke flows back in a moment later.
• An HE blows a big hole in it, which fills back in from its edges in 1 to 3 seconds.
• A flashbang on the other side of a smoke does not blind you, and a molotov's fire that starts in a smoke goes out.
• It lasts 18 seconds, like CS2's: its edges thin first, then its middle.
• The first time you join after it changes, your game downloads it and you see it from your next map - or type retry in the console. Until then, and if your game's downloads are off (cl_downloadfilter), you get the normal smoke.
